Humans, and all other mammals, have an Endocannabinoid System throughout their bodies. This system is made of receptors that interact with CBD. There are two types of receptors: CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are primarily in the brain and central nervous system, while CB2 receptors are found in peripheral organs. Full spectrum CBD is made up of cannabinoids, which interact with these receptors. This interaction occurs thanks to the trace amounts of THC, which binds to the receptors.
Full spectrum CBD promotes optimal functioning conditions (also known as homeostasis) within the Endocannabinoid System. Some of the effects of this may be increased mood and memory, reduced pain sensations, improved sleep, and decreased inflammation.
The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 opened the ability to study and research CBD, therefore we are still learning and finding new benefits to add to the wonders of CBD.
